An essential and distinctive part of the Mobility Show is the opening of a permanent observatory focussed on issues, projects, proposals, reviews and experiences acquired in the area of mobility which for years has been the greatest urban issue.
The need is felt for a systematic, cross-disciplinary and organised approach to traffic management, which should bring together different skills and rely on all the experiences gained in the area as well as on all the opportunities offered by technology.
For this reason, a special Technical-scientific Committee has been set up, composed of people with great professional skills and a long experience in the field.
Through the activity of the Technical-scientific Committee, the Mobility Show can become a meeting place, a place of confrontation and discussion for the new solutions to be adopted – in organisational, technical, financial and political terms – so that the “wishful thinking” of improving urban mobility (which is also formalised by the EU regulatory framework) may come true.
The Committee will work at organising meetings, conferences, workshops on the most relevant subjects, taking care of congresses and contributions on the following macro-areas:
- Sustainable mobility, energy savings and air quality
- New means of transport and innovative vehicles with low environmental impact
- Quality of the mobility system, technology and infrastructures for practicability
- Right to mobility, mobility governance, control and management
The technical-scientific Committee is composed as follows:
